PROMPT: What experiences would you like to gain or what information would you be interested in learning more about as a result of taking LTEC 5211? Be sure to list at least 3 specific things you’d like to learn about by the end of the semester.

Primarily, I want to learn how to use principles learned in the multimedia course I am taking this month and apply them directly to instructional design. I want to gain from the course how to apply effective instructional design and multimedia design theory into practice to help scaffold learners and hold their attention.

Additionally, I want to understand and be able to use various instructional design tools, such as Articulate Storyline and Adobe Capivate. I want to learn how to design using these and other tools and add them to an employment portfolio in different environments. For example, developing storylines for higher education and business allows me to enahce my future employability.

Finally, I would like to gain more understanding of how I can embed generative AI in learning design so that the design includes checks for understanding during the learning to better assist learners to grasp information in chunks.
